On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, many brands spoofed the public with April Fool’s jokes. Some of these were not a just prank but real items that you could purchase. One of these places is Dutch Bros.
Dutch Bros
Dutch Bros brought a new rebel to the menu, the Pickleback Rebel. Although this seems like just a prank, it is a real rebel available for purchase. It is a dill-based energy drink with a limeade twist. It is at first sweet, with a heavy pickle aftertaste. You can get it blended or iced.
Sour Patch Kids
Sour Patch Kids tried to prank everyone into thinking they would no longer be named Sour Patch Kids, and instead, switch to just Patch Kids. This ‘switch’ was regarding many comments on how their candy was not sour enough.
Raising Canes x ISPY
Raising Canes is a popular fast food chain, famous for its Cane’s sauce, while ISPY is a beauty brand. They collaborated to create a Moisturizing Sauce, made out of Cane sauce. They took the prank to the next level by getting Cardi B to try the product, where she is seen putting it on her face and tasting it.
Method
Method, a home, body and hair care brand, tricked its users by previewing a Body and Hair Mist in a dill pickle scent, and a curl-defining shampoo, in a spaghetti marinara scent. A lot of people found it funny and even contemplated buying it if it was real.
Reese’s
Reese’s came out with chocolate bread, with the concept of putting peanut butter on it, to create a chocolate peanut butter Reese’s sandwich. Many wished for this to be real, as it was one of the few that would not be disgusting to try.
Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) x Hismile
KFC, the fast food chain, and Hismile, a popular brand that makes different flavored toothpaste, partnered to create a real item for April Fools. This is a red Hismile electric toothbrush, along with fried chicken-flavored toothpaste. They had many content creators try it, all with comments about how accurate the fried chicken flavor was.
Welch’s Fruit Snacks
They branded a $19 single gummy strawberry. This references the $19 single strawberry sold at Erewon. It is the same as the strawberry gummies that can be found in the regular packaged fruit snack bags.
