Internet fame can be obtained easier than ever in 2026. However, not all fan bases are well intentioned. The term “lolcow” comes from an early internet website, 4chan. Lolcow is a combination of “LOL” (laughing out loud) and “Cash Cow” meaning an internet personality who can be “milked” for entertainment. They are individuals who are constantly mocked, baited and trolled due to their cringe and easily agitated behavior.
There are hundreds of different lolcows all earning the title after absurd things they have done. The most common victims are neurodivergent or disabled individuals. Often associated with bullying, Lolcow is not a nice term. Many extremists have taken it past the point of cyberbullying.
Daniel Larson
Daniel Larson has been posting on YouTube since 2018. Since then, he has become infamous for his absurd and concerning videos posted. He has autism, bipolar disorder, PTSD and schizophrenia. The state placed him in a state-run group home for adults with disabilities, after the passing of his guardian in 2019. His original content ranged from showcasing his disability housing to expressing his aspirations to be a singer-songwriter and celebrity. He released his most famous song “Roaring Thunder” in 2021. Due to his compromised mental state, trollers contacted Larson pretending to be record labels and managers to persuade him into saying inappropriate things for laughs.
Larson’s most known controversial obsession is with “America’s Got Talent” winner Grace Vanderwaal. Trollers “ragebait” Larson pretending to be Vanderwaal in an attempt to exploit and blackmail Larson. Through the years, Larson has been in and out of disability housing, getting into arguments with his caretakers. He was homeless when not in housing provided by the state. Along with contracting illnesses like trenchfoot and scabies, he would get into many public altercations resulting in bans from affected establishments. His recordings and posts featured screaming or threatening someone.
In 2024, the FBI arrested Larson. The FBI investigated his digital footprint of bombing and death threats. Mental health professions evaluated and found Larson competent to stand trial. He took a plea deal for the seven federal charges and is expected to serve 27-33 months.
Alex Dougherty
The Dougherty Dozen is a family channel. The family has faced mild controversy over the years. Alex Dougherty is the oldest of the eleven kids and Alicia and Joshua Dougherty’s first adoption. Doctors diagnosed him with FASD, (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder), a few months after living with the Doughertys. Dougherty also confessed his biological parents were physically and verbally abusive toward him.
Despite having grown up in the eye of the internet, Dougherty only garnered the attention of the internet in 2024. He would join the website Cameo, where fans pay to request a video from a celebrity or influencer. The attention would grow after recipients posted their videos, where Dougherty was putting in comedically low effort. Trollers eventually nicknamed him “Big Red,” and some even friended him on social media like Snapchat. An influx of videos would emerge where girls Dougherty thought were romantically interested in him were making fun of him.
Clavicular
Braden Peters, known as Clavicular, is TikTok’s most popular “looksmaxxer.” He gained popularity in late 2025 from his clips on streaming platform Kick, which were later uploaded to TikTok. He is known for his extreme “looksmaxxing,,” which is the male-dominated subculture focused on maximizing physical attractiveness through various methods. “Softmaxxing” is smaller acts such as haircuts, skincare and fitness. “Hardmaxxing” are more intense methods like plastic surgery, fillers or “bonesmashing”, which involves repeatedly hitting a targeted area to promote bone growth.
Clavicular has been engaging in “looksmaxxing” since age 16, and has “ascended.” “Ascension” is when someone is successful in their “looksmaxxing” journey. He has been documenting his own journey since the beginning and later got expelled from Sacred Heart University when steroids were found in his dorm. Clavicular is known to use drugs like methamphetamine to achieve a lean facial structure.
On stream he frequents clubs, where his goal is to pick up as many “Stacys” as possible. “Stacy” is the term used for an attractive woman. One of his most viral clips is of him running over someone, but justified it by claiming it was in self-defense. Viewers mock him for his trouble navigating social situations, which Clavicular accounts to having autism.
Ash Trevino
Ashley Lopez-Trevino is a TikTok influencer recognized for her “momfluencer” personal and hours long TikTok livestreams. Trevino gained massive attention in late 2024 when people noticed her battling, a five minute live streamed competition where two creators go head-to-head to earn the most virtual gifts from viewers, other popular TikTok influencers such as Santos Salzar, Elexia Michelle Rangel and Carla Heffa. People online were quick to find out about Trevino’s complicated and controversial past which includes having relationships strictly only with incarcerated men. People called out Trevino for involving her two daughters, Hailey and Evie, with the men she was talking to and having them on her TikTok live streams.
In November of 2024, popular TikTok creator Santos Salzar came into the Trevino world. Trevino began to use her new found platform to get Salzars attention after openly confessing her feelings for him. Salzar and Trevino began a very public online relationship creating many memes their followers took and ran with. One of the memes the two created was “Nunu”. Nunu is a nickname for a female’s genitalia that Trevino used on live, confirming her relationship with Salzar. Due to the popularity of the word, Trevino and Salzar collabed with Elexia Michelle Rangel,more commonly known as Ms. Gold, to create a song. In late December of 2024, all three creators released the song “NUNU” and went extremely viral on TikTok.
Trevino earned the title of Lolcow after it came out she was mistreating her kids and Salzar was found out to be freshly 18 while Trevino was 35. People criticized her and even called CPS, (Child Protective Services), on her several times to try and get her daughters away from her. Trevino is constantly ridiculed for her looks, even being compared to an ogre when people on TikTok used the ogre emoji to represent her.
Tyler Catastrophe
Tyler Salone, better known as Tyler Catastrophe, is a TikTok artist who promotes and sells his art and jewelry through the app. Salone has been posting on social media for years but did not gain attention until early March of 2026. He has claimed to always be an artist but did not start selling his art until he was hit by a car. Salone has stated several times throughout the years on his account that a silver Lexiuss, going 50 mph , hit him in his abdomen. People pointed out that if he had actually been hit at 50 mph, he would have died. Salone talks about how the accident has left him disabled and he can not find a real job because of his disabilities which is why he prices his art so high.
Alongside being bullied for his looks, Salone is also made fun of because of his interests. A viral video of him auditioning to join British band “Love Joy” started the ridicule. Love Joy’s lead singer, William Gold,known as Wilbur Soot, initially gained his fame as a popular Minecraft streamer. In 2024, abuse allegations against Gold came out that Gold confirmed to be true which then led him to be canceled. Gold now focuses his attention on his band in order to avoid his old fanbase. Salone, one of the very few people who still support Gold, has stood up for him several times completely regarding that Gold confirmed all of the abuse allegations. Salone has confessed his love for Gold and has said he is saving up money to move to Britain which people speculated was because of Gold. This has earned him the title, “parasocial stalker”.
Salone quickly became a target of bullying because of his looks, personality, interests and art prices. Salone is the newest person to earn the title of lolcow and has taken time off of social media to process the hate he has gotten over the past two months.
Nova Online
Gabriel Scrivener-Gage, better known as Nova Online, is a TikToker known for their food reviews. Other than their popular food reviews, Gage was featured in a commercial advertising the job they worked. The clip of them went viral and even began a viral sound where people made videos using the sound to mock and make fun of Gage. Over the years, Gage has had many videos go viral which are then led to become viral TikTok audios just used to make fun of Gage. At a young age, medical professionals diagnosed Gage with autism which made them an extreme target of bullying online. They often share personal content that has led to extreme criticism and online controversy.
Gage used another popular social media app, Discord. They did not have any friends in real life and took to Discord to make friends. They ran many different servers, a digital space where communities gather to chat. Gage later got exposed for having an age play obsession, which was not handled greatly on the internet. Then, in 2023, Gage was exposed for talking to minor girls and got canceled completely by the media.
Due to Gage’s extremely controversial past, they have been named a lolcow and remains one of the more popular lolcows that people often bring up.
